Team Levels

The USFS team categories and details below explain how teams are fielded. The number of teams and categories cannot be determined until after all skaters accept and confirm a spot on a team.

The age and skill requirements for each team are based on current USFS rules and regulations, as well as minimum skill requirements. The minimum skills may change each year, based on the experience of skaters. One season’s team members do not automatically qualify for a team the following year.

Each category contains test requirements and recommendations. If Moves in the Field (MIF) tests are required, each skater has until November 1 to pass. Skaters who do not pass the MIF test by November will not be eligible to compete with the team. All Ice Dancing and MIF teachings occur outside of the Teams Elite program. If you would like recommendations for MIF and Ice Dancing coaches, contact Teams Elite staff.

Note: Ages are subject to change, according to USFS (http://www.usfsa.org/shell?id=59365)
